THREE CENTURIES OF PRESENCE

The Moravčević family originates from Orahovac. Three centuries ago, during the Great Migrations, our ancestors settled in Zaklopača and took root.
Much has changed since then, but our bond with the land remains constant. We respect hard work, we keep our word, and we never harvest the fruit before it is fully ripe.
This quiet discipline and patience are passed down without many words – through labour, by example, and by the way we stand by our name.

The orchard has never been an imposed duty, but a natural place of belonging. Our grandfather taught us that every tree has its own rhythm, and every year its own trials.
This early connection to the earth shaped our philosophy: fruit growing is not seasonal work, but a lifelong responsibility.

Zaklopača is blessed with a unique microclimate, where a distinctive “wind rose” creates near-perfect conditions for fruit growing.
In this natural harmony, the Zaklopačka Ruža – our heritage apricot variety – took root and flourished. It does not just grow here, it belongs here. It is the foundation of our production and represents far more than fruit: it embodies decades of experience, tradition, and a profound connection to the land from which it springs.
